President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, as he begins the second leg of his three-week annual leave in Europe.

The President arrived in the French capital on Sunday and was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke, according to officials familiar with his trip.

Mr Tinubu left Abuja on August 30 for the vacation, with London serving as his first destination before his onward trip to Paris.

The President’s three-week leave was announced by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who said Mr Tinubu would return to Abuja at the end of the holiday to resume official duties and participate in preparations for the January 2027 general election.

His vacation comes shortly after the All Progressives Congress released its Presidential Campaign Council list, with Mr Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima named as chairman and vice chairman respectively.

Paris has remained one of the Nigerian President’s most frequent international destinations since he assumed office in May 2023.

Available records show that Mr Tinubu has visited France multiple times for official engagements, working visits and private trips.

His latest visit adds to his foreign travels since becoming president, during which he has travelled to several countries for diplomatic, economic and other engagements.

The President is expected to return to Nigeria after completing the three-week holiday.
