President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Vice President Kashim Shettima for his role in coordinating economic policy and supporting the implementation of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda as he clocks 60.
Tinubu, in a birthday message to Shettima on Tuesday, described the Vice President as a trusted partner whose loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty have remained invaluable to the administration.
The President particularly praised Shettima’s leadership as Chairman of the National Economic Council, saying he had provided purposeful coordination of economic policy and strengthened collaboration between the Federal Government and the states.
He also commended the Vice President’s commitment to constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, which he said had contributed to strengthening good governance.
Tinubu said Shettima’s record of service, first as Governor of Borno State and subsequently as Vice President, had been defined by courage, diligence, compassion and commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians.
The President also acknowledged Shettima’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his unwavering support for the administration, describing him as a patriot whose life had been dedicated to service and worthy causes.
“His loyalty, wisdom and sense of duty have remained invaluable to the administration,” Tinubu said.
The President congratulated Shettima’s wife, Nana, children, family and political associates on the milestone, while praying for his continued good health, wisdom, protection and many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria.
Tinubu expressed confidence that continued collaboration with Shettima would enable the administration to make further progress towards delivering its promises to Nigerians and building what he described as the Nigeria of their dreams.
