KEFAS CALLS FOR UNITY AFTER WINNING PARTY PRIMARY IN TARABA

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has emerged the winner of his party’s governorship primary election ahead of the forthcoming poll.

Kefas secured 166,357 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mu’azu Jaji, who polled 4,110 votes.

Speaking shortly after being declared the winner on Friday, the governor described the exercise as a victory for democracy and called for unity among party members and supporters.

“The contest is now over. The time has come for unity and collective action toward the continued development of our state,” he said.

Kefas appreciated the leadership of the party at all levels for their support and confidence in his administration.

He also thanked the people of Taraba State for their continued trust and cooperation, assuring them of his commitment to good governance.

The governor reaffirmed his resolve to provide leadership anchored on fairness, humility, and dedication to the welfare and progress of the people.

He pledged to consolidate on the achievements recorded by his administration and sustain policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of residents across the state.
