The Federal High Court (FHC) has announced the passing of Justice Mohammed Nura Yunusa, a serving judge of the Kano Judicial Division.
The announcement was made on Saturday in Abuja through a statement issued by the court’s Director of Information, Mrs Catherine-Oby Christopher.
According to the statement, Justice Yunusa died on Thursday after a brief illness at the Kano State Medical Centre. He has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.

Describing the late jurist as a dedicated and principled judge, the court said:
“Justice M. N. Yunusa was a distinguished jurist who served with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the administration of justice.”
The Federal High Court noted that his immense contributions to the Bench and the legal profession would be fondly remembered and deeply cherished by colleagues, members of the Bar, court staff, and all who worked with him.
The Chief Judge, judges, management, and staff of the court extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased.
The statement added:
“We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.”
