National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, has said the increasing support for the party across the country is a sign that Nigerians are yearning for purposeful leadership and genuine democratic change.
Dickson stated this after receiving separate delegations, including aspirants from Zamfara State led by Senator Kabiru Marafa, Kano State Commissioner for Environment and Climate Change, Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo, and Nollywood actor Emeka Ike.
According to the former Bayelsa State governor, the Zamfara delegation expressed confidence in the vision of the NDC and the leadership of Senator Marafa.
Dickson described Marafa as “a courageous fighter for what is right, fair, and just,” adding that the senator’s values align with the ideals and principles of the NDC.

He commended the delegation for standing firmly behind Marafa’s leadership and assured them that the party would continue to engage with the people of Zamfara State in pursuit of positive change.
“By the grace of God, the NDC will continue to engage with the people of Zamfara State and support every genuine effort aimed at bringing positive change to the state,” Dickson stated.
The NDC leader also disclosed that he held discussions with Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo on the need for committed leadership and collective action in tackling the numerous challenges confronting the country.
Dickson further revealed that veteran Nollywood actor Emeka Ike paid him a courtesy visit alongside his team and presented gifts in support of the party.
He appreciated the actor for the gesture and goodwill toward the NDC.
“The growing support the NDC continues to receive from different states across the federation is a strong indication that Nigerians are ready for purposeful leadership and genuine democratic change,” Dickson said.

He added that the party would continue to strengthen its movement through “unity, courage, and determination” to build a nation that works for all Nigerians.
