Nollywood actress, Linda Ejiofor has revealed that she once feared her acting career had reached a standstill before experiencing a remarkable turnaround that culminated in her recent success at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Speaking in an interview with Nolywire, conducted by her husband and fellow actor Ibrahim Suleiman, Ejiofor recounted a challenging period in her professional journey, saying she believed her progress in the industry had stalled.
According to the actress, the difficult phase led her to seek divine direction and hope for a breakthrough.

“Three years ago, I thought my career was stagnant and not moving forward, and I asked God for something, anything,” she said.
Ejiofor also credited her husband for supporting and encouraging her during the period, even when she doubted her own performances.
She said Suleiman repeatedly reassured her about her work in two productions, despite her uncertainty about how well she had performed.
The actress’s fortunes changed at the 2026 AMVCA, where she emerged as one of the biggest winners of the night after securing both Best Lead Actress for The Serpent’s Gift and Best Supporting Actress for The Herd.

The achievement has been widely regarded as one of the standout moments of the awards ceremony and a defining milestone in her acting career.
