The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has concluded its House of Representatives primary elections, with 13 aspirants emerging as candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The winners include Precious Igwe for Port Harcourt Federal Constituency I; Dumnamene Dekor for Gokana/Khana Federal Constituency; Felix Uche Nwaeke for Eleme/Tai/Oyigbo Federal Constituency; and Steve Solomon Jack for Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency.
Others are Hart Cyril for Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency; Linda Somiari Stewart for Okrika/Ogu-Bolo Federal Constituency; Solomon Bob for Abua/Odual/Ahoada East Federal Constituency; Martin Chike Amaewhule for Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency; Victor Obuzor for Ahoada West/ONELGA Federal Constituency; Frederick Apiafi for Andoni/Opobo/Nkoro Federal Constituency; Obasi Queen Chinaza for Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency; Onyeozu Joy Nyebuchi for Ikwerre/Emuoha Federal Constituency; and Blessing Amadi for Port Harcourt Federal Constituency II.

The Chairman of the seven-man primary election committee, Wahab Owokiniran, announced the results while briefing journalists at the APC collation centre in Port Harcourt. He described the exercise as peaceful, free and fair, commending party members for maintaining order throughout the process.
Meanwhile, APC State Publicity Secretary, Chibuike Ikenga, also described the exercise as peaceful and credible. He urged party members and aspirants to embrace unity and sportsmanship as the party begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.

According to information, officials of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission were present at the APC collation centre to monitor the exercise and ensure that it aligns with the rules and regulations of INEC.
