Iran has announced plans to unveil a new strategy for managing maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, including the possible introduction of toll charges, amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

The development comes as United States President Donald Trump warned that Iran could face a “very bad time” if a peace agreement is not reached soon.

Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf said the world is “standing at the cusp of a new order,” a remark viewed as reflecting Tehran’s position amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Elsewhere, violence in the region continues to intensify. Israeli attacks on Gaza reportedly killed at least 11 Palestinians and injured more than 60 others on Saturday.

Israel has also continued military operations in southern Lebanon, saying its forces struck about 100 locations within two days despite reports that negotiators from Israel and Lebanon had agreed to extend a ceasefire arrangement for an additional 45 days.

The latest developments have further heightened concerns over instability across the region, as diplomatic efforts continue alongside ongoing military actions.
