The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Kaduna State Command, has announced the recovery of advanced communication equipment allegedly used by kidnappers and armed criminal groups to intercept security communications within the state.
According to police authorities, operatives of the Special Tactical Squad carried out a targeted intelligence-led operation in Kaduna, leading to the discovery of sophisticated walkie-talkie devices believed to have been used to monitor and disrupt communications between security agencies.
Security sources disclosed that the equipment recovered goes beyond conventional communication tools, noting that the devices are capable of intercepting operational signals used by state security personnel, thereby giving criminal elements a tactical advantage in the field.
The police described the operation as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle organised criminal networks responsible for kidnapping and banditry in Kaduna and its surrounding areas.
