Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will receive substantial electoral support in the state during the 2027 presidential election, predicting a different outcome from the 2023 contest.
Sani made the declaration on Friday while receiving members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council’s Support Groups Directorate at Government House, Kaduna.
The delegation, led by former Nasarawa State Deputy Governor Dr Silas Agara, visited the governor following a solidarity procession organised ahead of Saturday’s planned presidential campaign rally.
Addressing the delegation, Sani commended the support groups for mobilising supporters and encouraging political participation across the state.
He maintained that Kaduna residents would support Tinubu’s re-election bid in recognition of what he described as the administration’s achievements and development initiatives.
The governor urged party members and supporters to remain united, conduct their activities peacefully and sustain engagement with residents ahead of the election.
Sani also defended the Federal Government’s reform programmes, arguing that the administration was implementing policies intended to address economic challenges and promote sustainable development.

He stressed the importance of communicating government policies to citizens and maintaining contact with communities beyond campaign events.
His remarks come against the background of the 2023 presidential election, when Tinubu finished second in Kaduna State.
According to the official results, Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar won the state with 554,360 votes, while Tinubu secured 399,293 votes.
Labour Party candidate Peter Obi received 294,494 votes, while Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party polled 92,969 votes.
The solidarity procession reportedly began around the Savannah Bank area, moved towards Government House and later returned to the APC Ciki da Waje State Secretariat.
Participants carried flags and banners expressing support for Tinubu, accompanied by drumming and other activities.

Speaking during the visit, Agara described the procession as part of efforts to coordinate support groups and strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
He said similar activities were planned across other states and emphasised that the groups’ responsibilities extended beyond rallies to explaining government programmes and engaging voters.
Other political figures at the event included former deputy governors Ahmed Mohammed Ketso and Philip Shaibu, Minister of State for Works Bello Muhammad Goronyo, and Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi.
The event formed part of the APC’s preparations for the 2027 presidential contest.
