The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has received the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, as both institutions move to strengthen collaboration on the safety of corps members nationwide.

The meeting, held during a courtesy visit by the NYSC DG, provided an opportunity for strategic discussions focused on enhancing security measures for corps members deployed across the country.

IGP Disu highlighted the importance of sustained partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the NYSC, noting that effective collaboration is essential in promoting youth development, national unity, and public safety.

He assured that the police would continue to support NYSC programmes and activities, particularly in ensuring the protection of lives and property of corps members throughout their service year.

The engagement highlights ongoing efforts by security agencies and national institutions to reinforce mechanisms that guarantee a safe and conducive environment for Nigerian youths participating in the NYSC scheme.
