The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has reminded intending pilgrims that the deadline for registering and uploading pilgrim data for the 2027 Hajj is September 26.
With seven days left until the deadline, the commission urged intending pilgrims and other stakeholders to complete the process early to avoid possible complications.
NAHCON issued the reminder on Saturday through its official X account.

“The countdown to the 26th September 2026 deadline for 2027 Hajj registration and pilgrim data upload has begun. Register early. Upload pilgrim data. Avoid the last-minute rush,” the commission said.
The deadline is part of the timelines for preparations for the 2027 pilgrimage, including requirements connected with Saudi Arabia’s digital processing of pilgrims’ information.
NAHCON had earlier warned that failure to upload pilgrims’ data before the deadline could lead to the forfeiture of allocated slots.
The commission also said payments for allocated slots must be fully remitted by December 2, 2026.
It advised intending pilgrims to make payments only through approved channels, including state pilgrims’ welfare agencies, designated Hajj savings banks and licensed tour operators.

NAHCON has continued to encourage prospective pilgrims to complete their registration and documentation early as preparations for the 2027 Hajj intensify.
The reminder comes two days after Saudi Arabia rejected Nigeria’s request for an increase in its pilgrim allocation for the 2027 Hajj.
Nigeria will consequently retain an approved quota of 50,000 pilgrims for next year’s pilgrimage.
