FIFA President, Gianni Infantino has confirmed that United States President, Donald Trump will attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup final and jointly present the trophy to the tournament winners.
Infantino disclosed during an interview on Fox and Friends on Tuesday, revealing that he and President Trump would be present at the final scheduled for July 19 in New Jersey.
According to the FIFA president, both men will participate in the trophy presentation ceremony after the championship match.

“We will be together with the president enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course, together,” Infantino said.
The announcement underscores the close relationship between Trump and the FIFA chief, who has maintained regular engagements with the U.S. President in recent years. Infantino previously presented Trump with a newly created FIFA Peace Prize during the World Cup draw ceremony held in Washington last year.
The decision for a joint trophy presentation follows discussions surrounding the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final, where Trump participated in the award ceremony after Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey.

During that ceremony, Trump handed the trophy to Chelsea captain Reece James and remained on stage during the team’s celebrations, drawing widespread attention from football fans and commentators.
