Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have sustained offensive operations across the theatre, recording fresh successes in counter-terrorism efforts, including the neutralisation of terrorists, arrest of suspects, and the surrender of an insurgent.
This was disclosed in a statement on Friday by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba.
According to the statement, troops, in collaboration with members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), engaged terrorists moving from Yale towards the Sambisa Forest axis, neutralising four of them during a firefight.

Items recovered from the scene include one AK-47 rifle, ammunition, and food supplies believed to be part of the terrorists’ logistics chain. The troops returned safely to base without casualties.
The statement added that sustained clearance and interdiction operations along key routes, including Dambboa–Maiduguri, Dambboa–Gwoza, and the Goniri axis, have effectively restricted the movement and activities of terrorist elements in the region.
In a separate development, troops deployed at Kanama arrested two suspected terrorist collaborators during a stop-and-search operation. The suspects were found with items believed to support terrorist logistics, while preliminary investigations uncovered digital materials linking them to insurgent activities.
They are currently in custody and undergoing further investigation.
Additionally, one suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP member surrendered to troops at a checkpoint in Kukawa Local Government Area. The individual reportedly claimed he was abducted earlier in the year and forced to join the group. He is currently being profiled.
The Theatre Command reiterated its commitment to restoring peace, security, and economic stability in the North East, urging members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies.

The military high command also commended troops for their resilience and gallantry, encouraging them to sustain the momentum of ongoing operations.
