The government of Togo has announced the removal of visa requirements for citizens of all African countries travelling into the nation for short-term visits, in a move aimed at strengthening regional integration and facilitating easier movement across the continent.
The decision was announced by Togo’s Ministry of Security in an official statement, describing the policy as a major step toward improving mobility and enhancing cooperation among African nations.
Under the new arrangement, African nationals possessing valid national passports will be allowed entry into Togo without obtaining a visa for stays of up to 30 days.
Authorities said the initiative reflects the country’s commitment to promoting openness, creating opportunities and supporting stronger continental relationships.
The government explained that although visas will no longer be required, travellers must still complete a travel declaration through the designated government platform at least 24 hours before arrival to obtain a travel authorisation slip.
