President Bola Tinubu has emerged the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in Akwa Ibom State, polling a total of 389,197 votes.
The result was announced at the State Collation Centre located at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo, by the State Collation and Returning Officer, Governor Umo Eno.

Governor Eno congratulated President Tinubu on what he described as an overwhelming victory in the state and commended residents for the peaceful conduct of the exercise across Akwa Ibom.
He urged party members to begin mobilising support ahead of the 2027 general elections to ensure a decisive victory for the APC.
Speaking shortly after the announcement, Senate President Godswill Akpabio praised Governor Eno for fostering peace during the party primaries, describing the exercise as one of the most peaceful in the state’s political history.
Akpabio recalled that previous primaries in the state were often marred by violence, intimidation, killings, and harassment.
According to him, the peaceful atmosphere recorded during the APC primaries reflects the growing political stability under Governor Eno’s leadership.
The Senate President further stated that support for Governor Eno’s second term bid was based on his performance in office and his commitment to sustaining peace and development in the state.
Earlier, the APC State Chairman, Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, congratulated President Tinubu, Senator Akpabio, and Governor Eno on their emergence as candidates of the party for their respective positions.
He assured them of the party’s continued support ahead of the 2027 elections.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Local Organising Committee and Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, attributed the peaceful conduct of the primaries to the collaboration between Governor Eno and Senator Akpabio.
He said the partnership had continued to benefit both the party and the state.
