President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to be formally presented with the All Progressives Congress (APC) certificate of return and party flag as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
The presentation will take place on Sunday at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja following the conclusion of nationwide collation of the party’s primary election results.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the event will bring together APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee (NEC), the National Working Committee (NWC), lawmakers, and other party stakeholders.
The ceremony is expected to formally seal Tinubu’s status as the party’s flag bearer ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
