President Bola Tinubu has constituted the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general election, with former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, appointed Director-General.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, was named Secretary of the council, according to a statement issued on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu will serve as Chairman of the council, while Vice President Kashim Shettima will be Vice-Chairman I. APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, was named Vice-Chairman II.

The APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, and Hadiza Bala-Usman will serve as Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively.
The campaign structure also includes Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as Deputy Directors-General for the southern and northern zones.
Former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, was appointed Deputy Director-General for Mobilisation, while the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, will oversee Administration.
James Faleke, who played a prominent role in the APC’s 2022/2023 presidential campaign, returns as Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring.
Other directorates announced include legal, media and strategic communication, new media and election planning, with several senior party members and government officials assigned to various positions.
The media and strategic communication directorate will be coordinated by Information and National Orientation Minister Mohammed Idris, alongside Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga and Lanre Issa-Onilu.
Segun Dada, who held the position during the 2022/2023 campaign, returns as Director of New Media.

Tinubu charged members of the council to work towards securing victory for the APC in the 2027 presidential election, urging them to highlight the administration’s achievements and engage party members across the country.
The President also called on the campaign leadership to reach out to party members who were not included in the formal structure and encourage them to contribute to the campaign.
He said the APC would enter the campaign season with its record in government as a major point of engagement with voters.
