President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said he directed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, to provide access roads and engineering infrastructure to the 3,112-unit Renewed Hope City in Karsana before residents could move into the estate.
The President, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, stated this on Friday while commissioning the 10.5-kilometre access roads to the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates in Karsana West District, Abuja.
Tinubu said no housing estate could function without supporting infrastructure, noting that the completion of the road network fulfilled the directive he gave during the groundbreaking ceremony of the housing project.

The President commended Wike for what he described as the transformation of the Federal Capital Territory through the completion of critical infrastructure projects, adding that the minister had earned his trust by delivering projects on schedule.
Earlier, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, recalled that the Karsana district was inaccessible when the housing project was flagged off in 2024. He said the access roads were constructed to ensure the viability of the estate and announced that the FCT Administration would, on July 8, flag off the construction of the Kaba-Kagini-Zaudna Road.

The Minister of State for the FCT, Mariya Mahmoud, described the project as another milestone under the Renewed Hope Agenda, saying it would improve connectivity, boost economic activities and expand access to affordable housing in the Federal Capital Territory.
