Vice President Kashim Shettima has said the Federal Government’s economic reforms are aimed at placing Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth and creating a more conducive environment for investment.

Speaking on Wednesday while declaring open the Jigawa State Investment Summit 2026 in Dutse, the Vice President said the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had taken difficult but necessary decisions to reposition the nation’s economy.

Shettima explained that the Federal Government, through the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) and a series of structural and fiscal reforms, was improving the ease of doing business across the country.

According to him, the reforms have replaced bureaucratic bottlenecks with strategic partnerships, enabling states to unlock their economic potential and attract greater investments.

He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote economic growth, private sector participation and sustainable development across the federation.
