Nigerian singer, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has accused music executive Dapper Music of withholding royalties from 46 of his songs and allegedly selling his music catalogue.
The singer made the allegations on X on Thursday while commenting on his ongoing dispute with Dapper over royalty payments and the management of his music catalogue.
Shallipopi alleged that income from 46 songs, including his hit track E Don Cast, had been withheld.
“Dapper no forget say my laho money Dey with me o, u Dey owe me 46 songs royalty income including my ‘E don cast’ money,” he wrote.
The singer further alleged that Dapper had taken the catalogues of several artistes to Virgin Music and received payments from the arrangement without properly accounting for the proceeds.
He also claimed that his catalogue had been sold and threatened to petition the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the matter.
“Dapper, you Dey hold me money o, and u sell my catalogue now u Dey act confused. I go EFCC office I go write statement against u,” Shallipopi said.
The singer also accused Dapper of allegedly giving false information to the EFCC and insisted that other artistes had been affected by the alleged dealings.
“And u go another EFCC office Dey lie for them, you forget say nor be only me u scam lol,” he added.
Shallipopi further accused the music executive of manipulating artistes, while making other allegations concerning his dealings within the entertainment industry.
He has not provided documentary evidence alongside the social media posts to substantiate the allegations, while Dapper’s response to the latest claims was not included in the report.
