Prince Harry has made his first public appearance in Britain since relocating from California with his wife Meghan and their family, declaring that it was “good to be back on British soil.”
The Duke of Sussex appeared in London on Thursday at the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards, linked to the Invictus Games, the international sporting competition he founded for wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans.
Earlier in the day, Harry attended an event involving Save the Children and Imperial College London focused on improving medical care for children affected by armed conflict.
The engagements highlighted Harry’s continuing charitable work, particularly his longstanding involvement with military veterans and humanitarian causes.
Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014 following his service in the British Army. The initiative has remained one of his most prominent projects since he and Meghan stepped back from senior royal duties in 2020.
The couple spent the past six years based in California. Their move to Britain does not represent a return to official duties as working members of the royal family.
