The Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has held a meeting with heads of agencies under the ministry as part of efforts to deepen collaboration and accelerate reforms in Nigeria’s electricity sector.
During the engagement, Tegbe said addressing the challenges facing the power industry requires collective effort, innovation and accountability from all institutions operating under the ministry.

He stressed that stronger institutional cooperation would be essential to advancing ongoing reforms, expanding access to electricity, improving grid reliability and attracting investment into power generation, transmission and distribution infrastructure.
The minister noted that enhanced coordination among agencies would help drive the government’s objective of building a more efficient and sustainable electricity sector capable of supporting economic growth and industrial development.

Tegbe also reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to providing stable and affordable electricity for Nigerians, describing reliable power supply as a key driver of economic prosperity, job creation and improved living standards.
According to him, the ministry will continue to work closely with its agencies and stakeholders to implement policies and initiatives aimed at transforming the nation’s power sector.
