Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has commended the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her continued efforts to empower Nigerians through various social and economic initiatives in the country.
Mrs Soludo spoke on Monday while presenting a ₦5 million cash gift from the First Lady to a farmers’ group in Awka, Anambra State.
The donation followed a special presentation made by the farmers during Mrs Tinubu’s official visit to the state last Thursday.
Presenting the funds to the beneficiaries, Mrs Soludo described the gesture as an expression of appreciation from the First Lady, whose generosity, she said, had continued to inspire others.
She explained that the farmers had presented a token of support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration ahead of the 2027 general elections during the First Lady’s visit.
According to Mrs Soludo, Mrs Tinubu was moved by the gesture and subsequently decided to support the farmers with the cash gift to strengthen their businesses.
“Following the warm reception she received from beneficiaries of last year’s Renewed Hope Initiative Agricultural Support Programme during her visit to Anambra, the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has gifted them ₦5 million to further support and strengthen their businesses,” she said.
Mrs Soludo said she had the honour of formally presenting the money to the beneficiaries on behalf of the First Lady.
She added that the gesture demonstrated how kindness, appreciation and genuine human connection could positively impact communities.
Mrs Soludo further commended Mrs Tinubu for her commitment to empowering Nigerians and supporting initiatives designed to improve livelihoods.
She prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the First Lady, particularly for her generosity and dedication to supporting communities across the country.
