The member representing Abak, Etim Ekpo and Ika Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Clement Jimbo, has reportedly joined political stakeholders and supporters at a voter sensitisation and endorsement rally organised by the Golden Mandate Movement (GMM) in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.
The event, held on Friday, October 30, at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium, was organised under the leadership of the movement’s Grand Patron and Akwa Ibom State Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Nsentip Akpabio, popularly known as Envoy.
According to an account of the gathering, participants expressed support for President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno, Clement Jimbo and other APC political aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The programme also featured voter education activities aimed at encouraging eligible citizens to participate in the electoral process.
Speaking on behalf of Abak Federal Constituency, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Udom Ekpoudom, commended the organisers and expressed support for continued grassroots sensitisation across Abak, Etim Ekpo and Ika.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Frank Archibong, who reportedly represented Governor Eno, conveyed the governor’s goodwill and acknowledged the organisers’ efforts towards political engagement.
Archibong also addressed participants on the APC’s electoral symbol and the importance of understanding voting procedures.
Similarly, federal lawmaker Patrick Umoh conveyed goodwill messages attributed to President Tinubu and Senate President Akpabio, while highlighting government development programmes.
Representing federal lawmakers, Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo commended the organisers, traditional leaders, women and youth representatives for participating in the event.
In his remarks, Nsentip Akpabio moved a motion seeking participants’ endorsement of the political figures identified by the movement, which reportedly received an affirmative response.

The gathering attracted party supporters, community leaders and political stakeholders from different parts of Akwa Ibom State.
The Golden Mandate Movement had earlier announced that the rally would focus on Permanent Voter Card awareness, grassroots participation and peaceful electoral engagement.
The endorsements represent expressions of political support by the organisers and participants, rather than formal declarations of election results or substitutions for the legally prescribed candidate nomination process.
