Nigerian afro-house singer, Niniola has announced the death of her husband in a series of emotional posts shared on her Instagram story in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Grammy-nominated artiste, known for keeping her private life away from public attention, disclosed the heartbreaking news without revealing the identity of her husband or the cause of his death.
In one of the posts, the singer wrote, “God took him,” before adding in another, “My husband died.”
In a third emotional message, Niniola reflected on the length of their relationship, writing, “God took him. 13 years. 13 f***ing years.”
Each post was accompanied by photographs of the couple, marking a rare glimpse into the singer’s private life.
