Students who are beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund in Anambra State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and contributed ₦10.7 million towards the purchase of his expression of interest form for the 2027 presidential election.
The students made the declaration on Friday at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam campus, describing the move as a gesture of appreciation for what they termed the positive impact of the education loan scheme on access to higher education.

The endorsement was announced by the Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Joint Campus Council in Anambra State, Ifeanyichukwu Chukwuemeka, who said the initiative reflected gratitude for the federal government’s education reforms and youth-focused policies.
According to him, the introduction of the student loan scheme had eased financial pressure on undergraduates and expanded opportunities for tertiary education across the country.
“We, the beneficiaries of the NELFUND scheme, are collectively endorsing President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office,” he said. “We are also donating the sum of ₦10,735,500 to support the purchase of the expression of interest form for him.”
He added that the donation was a symbolic expression of appreciation for what he described as reforms in the education sector and broader efforts aimed at youth development.
The students also commended the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, for his support for education and youth development in the state, noting his role in improving academic standards and student welfare.
They further acknowledged support from various stakeholders, including businessman Obinna Iyiegbu (Obi Cubana), as well as youth mobilisation leaders involved in student engagement initiatives in the South-East.

The event was attended by former Special Assistant to the Governor on Student Matters, Okoye Mathew, alongside student union leaders and other representatives from tertiary institutions in the state.
