Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has inaugurated the state chapter of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, a political support group campaigning for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The inauguration took place on Wednesday at the Langfield Event Centre, Little Rayfield, Jos, where 25 campaign vehicles were unveiled to support grassroots mobilisation across the state.
The vehicles were presented through the movement led by Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, who serves as its Grand Patron.
Speaking at the event, Mutfwang said his support for Tinubu followed a personal meeting with the President shortly after the 2023 general elections.
The governor explained that he had decided to work with Tinubu despite their previous political differences, citing what he described as the President’s commitment to national development.
He acknowledged Nigeria’s economic and security challenges but maintained that the Federal Government was taking steps to address them.
On security, Mutfwang commended federal interventions in Plateau State and expressed confidence that cooperation between the federal and state governments would help tackle criminal activities.

He also highlighted the proposed dualisation of the Mararaban Jama’a–Mangu–Pankshin–Langtang–Shendam road corridor as a significant infrastructure intervention.
According to him, officials from the Federal Ministry of Works have commenced preliminary technical activities on the proposed project.
Mutfwang announced that Plateau State was preparing to host President Tinubu for a political rally at the Zaria Road Stadium in Jos on November 14, 2026.
He urged members of the movement to intensify grassroots engagement and called for responsible use of the campaign vehicles.
Also speaking, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, urged party members to coordinate their activities ahead of the presidential, National Assembly, governorship and state assembly elections.
Yilwatda cited federal security deployments and infrastructure initiatives as examples of the administration’s interventions in Plateau State.

Tompolo, represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, Dr Kestin Pondi, called for patience with the government’s economic reforms.
He encouraged the movement’s coordinators to engage residents in communities, markets, religious centres and polling units.
The inauguration forms part of the movement’s wider expansion across Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.
