Nigerian-owned Mcjosnah Group of Companies Limited is expanding its international footprint into Asia as part of a broader strategy aimed at connecting Nigerian and African businesses more directly with global manufacturers, technology providers and international supply chains.

The company said the expansion represents a significant step in its ambition to build a Nigerian business group capable of operating across international markets while retaining Nigeria as the centre of its administration and African operations.

Rather than shifting its focus away from Nigeria, Mcjosnah Group said its international expansion is designed to strengthen its capacity to bring machinery, technology, technical expertise and global business opportunities closer to the Nigerian and wider African markets.

The Group is positioning its Asian presence as an international trade platform through which it can establish direct relationships with manufacturers and technology partners, reduce layers between suppliers and African customers, and develop stronger international procurement and distribution networks.

NIGERIA REMAINS CENTRAL TO EXPANSION

Mcjosnah Group said Nigeria will remain central to its long-term strategy even as the company develops operations outside the country.

The Group believes Nigerian companies can increasingly move beyond operating solely as domestic businesses and build institutions capable of participating directly in international commerce.

Its strategy includes using international partnerships to support access to agricultural machinery, construction and heavy-duty equipment, transportation solutions, industrial technology and other products required by businesses and institutions across Africa.

The company also intends to strengthen after-sales support, technical training, maintenance capabilities and local service networks as its operations expand.

FROM IMPORTATION TO CAPACITY BUILDING

Mcjosnah Group said its longer-term objective goes beyond importing finished equipment into Nigeria.

The company wants its international relationships to contribute to technical knowledge transfer, employment creation, development of local technicians and operators, stronger distribution networks and increased participation of Nigerian businesses in international supply chains.

According to the Group, building local capacity alongside international expansion is necessary if African economies are to retain a greater share of the value generated through global trade.

“We believe Africa should not simply be a destination for finished products. Africa must build more, produce more, process more, trade more and create more value for itself,” the Group said.

NIGERIAN COMPANY WITH GLOBAL AMBITION

From its Nigerian base, Mcjosnah Group is seeking to expand its commercial reach across West Africa and North Africa while also developing opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other international markets.

The strategy reflects a growing ambition among Nigerian enterprises to build cross-border businesses capable of sourcing globally while developing markets and operational capacity at home.

The Mcjosnah Group, through the CEO, Pastor Micah Jonah, says international expansion is intended to strengthen, rather than replace its Nigerian foundation.

“Our global expansion is not an exit from Africa. It is an investment in what Africa can become,” the Group said.

As the company develops its international operations, its stated objective remains to use global relationships to create stronger commercial links between Nigeria, the wider African market and major manufacturing centres abroad.

For a Nigerian business expanding beyond the continent, the message is clear: go global, build international capacity, but keep Nigeria and Africa at the heart of the enterprise, the Company reiterated.
