The Manager of Manchester City FC, Pep Guardiola has insisted that the club’s season should not be judged solely by whether they win the Premier League title or the FA Cup.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley, Guardiola maintained that City have enjoyed a strong campaign despite their exit from the UEFA Champions League and the intense title race with Arsenal.

The Spanish manager said success in football goes beyond trophies, stressing that some seasons can still be considered impressive even without silverware.

Manchester City are currently chasing Arsenal in the Premier League standings and also have the opportunity to secure a domestic double after already winning the League Cup earlier in the season.

Guardiola disclosed that his team would approach the FA Cup final with full seriousness, noting that the competition remains one of the most prestigious tournaments in English football.

He also expressed optimism about improving on City’s performances in their last two FA Cup final appearances, where they suffered defeats.

The City manager further described Wembley Stadium as a special venue and praised supporters for their commitment to travelling to London to back the team.

Guardiola, who has one year left on his contract at Manchester City, declined to comment fully on speculation surrounding the future of some members of his coaching staff.
