Nollywood actress Nancy Iheme has revealed that she temporarily stepped away from acting in 2026 to pursue a Master’s degree in Poland, describing the decision as an important step towards her academic and personal development.
Iheme disclosed this while reflecting on her life, achievements and aspirations in a birthday message, saying one of the major commitments she made to herself at the beginning of the year was to prioritise her education.
The actress said taking a break from a career she loves was not an easy decision but maintained that creating room for another important goal represented a new chapter in her life.
“2026 has been a very significant year for me. One of the biggest things I promised myself this year was to take a break from acting and pursue my Master’s degree in Poland. And today, I can proudly say I’m doing it,” she said.
Iheme said she was proud of herself for temporarily setting aside acting to concentrate on further education and personal growth.
“It takes courage to step away from what you love, even temporarily, to make room for something greater,” she said.
“I’m proud of myself for choosing growth, education, and a new chapter. I know this decision is part of a bigger plan that God has for me.”
The actress did not indicate that she had permanently left Nollywood, describing the move instead as a temporary break while she concentrates on her studies.
Reflecting on her birthday and the next stage of her life, Iheme expressed hopes for greater direction, wisdom and fulfilment.
“As I step into this new age, I pray for greater clarity, divine direction, deeper wisdom, good health, genuine happiness, meaningful relationships and financial abundance,” she said.
Iheme’s decision adds an academic pursuit to her professional journey as she takes time away from acting to complete her postgraduate studies in Poland.
