Iran has warned the United States against issuing threats to the Islamic Republic, declaring that its armed forces are prepared to respond to any form of aggression.
Iran’s chief negotiator, Mohammad Ghalibaf, made the statement on Sunday following a threat by United States President Donald Trump to launch fresh military strikes against Iran over its support for Hezbollah.
Speaking amid ongoing diplomatic engagements, Ghalibaf dismissed the effectiveness of American threats, insisting that Iran would not be intimidated.

According to him, if such threats were effective, the United States would not have found itself in what he described as a position of desperation. He cautioned American officials to be careful with their statements, stressing that Iran’s armed forces remain fully prepared to respond appropriately.
The remarks came after President Trump, in a post on his Truth Social platform, demanded that Iran immediately stop Hezbollah from carrying out attacks in Lebanon.
Trump warned that failure to do so could trigger another round of military action against Iran, stating that any future response would be stronger than previous strikes.
The exchange follows renewed tensions involving Hezbollah and Israel, despite ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at maintaining a ceasefire and preventing a wider regional conflict.
Meanwhile, representatives of Iran and the United States are currently engaged in talks in Switzerland, with mediation support from Pakistan and Qatar, following the signing of a preliminary agreement earlier this month intended to end hostilities between both countries.

Reports from Iranian news agency Fars claimed that Trump’s latest remarks led to the suspension of the negotiations, although the development had not been officially confirmed by either side as of the time of filing this report.
Notably, the memorandum of understanding signed by both countries includes a commitment to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other, raising concerns that the latest exchange of warnings could complicate ongoing peace efforts.
Despite the tensions, there were no immediate reports of fresh clashes between Israel and Hezbollah on Sunday evening.
