The delegation, led by the Local Government Area Coordinator of the campaign, Mr Joseph Akpan Sunday, visited the chairman on Wednesday as part of coordination and familiarisation efforts preceding the public health exercise.
Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Effiong described the campaign as a vital intervention aimed at strengthening malaria prevention and improving the well-being of residents across communities in the local government area.

She called on residents, community leaders, and other stakeholders to cooperate fully with the campaign team to ensure the successful implementation of the programme.
The chairman reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote public health and community wellbeing in line with the ARISE Agenda of the Akwa Ibom State Government.
In his remarks, the ITN Campaign Team Lead, Mr Joseph Akpan Sunday, commended the council chairman for her commitment to healthcare development and praised what he described as the achievements of her administration within less than one year in office.
He noted that the chairman’s leadership style and developmental efforts had continued to inspire confidence among residents of the area.
