Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has urged young people to remain steadfast in pursuing their dreams, saying that genuine vision, backed by hard work and perseverance, will ultimately earn recognition and success.
The Governor gave the charge during the “Worship with Jayne” Music Concert, organised by his daughter, Mrs Jayne Ufot, where he described the event as a practical demonstration of resilience and unwavering belief in one’s purpose.
Governor Eno said many great ideas are often doubted at the beginning, but encouraged youths not to be discouraged by criticism or lack of support.
According to him, “You are the owner of your vision. Stay committed to it, and when it begins to speak, everyone will recognise its value.”
He commended Mrs Ufot for her determination in bringing the event to fruition, noting that her consistency in promoting the concert reflected the importance of staying focused on one’s goals. He also praised her organisational skills and appreciated all those who supported the worship gathering.
Delivering the exhortation, Lead Pastor of God of Wonders (G.O.W.) Service and Ministry, Evangelist Ayang-Ifiok Umoren, described worship as an expression of a genuine relationship with God, citing 2 Chronicles 20:21–22 to emphasise its power in bringing divine intervention.
Speaking at the event, Mrs Ufot, popularly known as Jayne Jesus, said the concert was the fulfilment of a vision she had nurtured since childhood. She explained that the gathering was conceived as a platform for sincere worship rather than entertainment.
She expressed gratitude to Governor Umo Eno and her late mother for instilling godly values in her and encouraged parents to intentionally raise their children in the fear of God.
