A former employee of Chick-fil-A has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged fraud scheme that siphoned more than $80,000 from a North Texas restaurant through fake refund transactions.
Police in Grapevine identified the suspect as Keyshun Jones, who was taken into custody on April 17, 2026, following a months-long investigation.
According to investigators, the case began in November 2025 after a local Chick-fil-A owner reported suspicious financial losses. Detectives reviewing surveillance footage allegedly captured Jones who had been fired roughly a month earlier entering the restaurant without authorisation.

Authorities say Jones accessed the store’s register and carried out a large-scale refund scheme. He is accused of processing approximately 800 fraudulent orders of macaroni and cheese trays, then issuing refunds to his personal credit cards.
Police estimate the total value of the transactions at just over $80,000.
Investigators said Jones evaded arrest for several months despite repeated attempts to locate him. His eventual capture came with the assistance of the Texas Attorney General’s Fugitive Task Force and the Fort Worth Police Department.
Jones now faces multiple felony charges, including: Property theft, Money laundering and Evading arrest.
Authorities have not disclosed whether additional suspects may be involved or if further charges could follow.

Police say the case remains under investigation as they continue to review financial records and surveillance evidence tied to the alleged fraud.
No court date has yet been announced.
