The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the release of shortlisted candidates for the oral interview stage of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.
The announcement affects applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
The Board said the shortlist followed the completion of the physical and medical screening exercise and the subsequent assessment of candidates.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) A.M. Jibril, candidates who applied under the Graduate Category are to visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal between Monday, August 31 and Wednesday, September 2, 2026, to check their status.
Applicants who applied with NCE, OND or SSCE qualifications are expected to access the same portal from Monday, September 7 to Wednesday, September 9, 2026, to determine whether they have been shortlisted for the oral interview.
The Board directed shortlisted candidates to select an interview venue closest to them, choose an available date and time, and print their invitation letters.
Candidates must also appear at the interview venue strictly in accordance with the dress code specified in their invitation letters.
The CDCFIB warned that only applicants who are successfully shortlisted for the final stage will be granted access to the interview venues.
The Board further clarified that it would not send recruitment-related emails to applicants, stressing that all official communications would be made through the recruitment portal and its recognised communication channels.
The Board also reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free of charge.
It warned applicants against individuals or groups demanding money in exchange for employment, urging anyone who encounters such persons to report them to the nearest security agency or appropriate authority.
The CDCFIB advised all candidates to rely only on its official recruitment portal for information and updates concerning the exercise.
