Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has visited President Bola Tinubu at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary.

Rabiu visited the President on Friday alongside his son, Isyaku Abdulsamad Khalifa, and subsequently shared photographs from the meeting.

The industrialist said the visit provided an opportunity to extend Independence Day greetings to the President and reflect on Nigeria’s journey since independence.

Rabiu described the meeting as an opportunity to look back on the country’s progress while expressing optimism about its future.

He also extended Independence Day greetings to Nigerians at home and abroad, expressing hope for continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity across the country.

Nigeria marked its 66th Independence anniversary on Thursday, October 1, commemorating the country’s independence from British colonial rule in 1960.

Tinubu received several other prominent political and business figures at his Lagos residence during the Independence Day period, including Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
