Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has played down suggestions that the German champions could pursue Manchester City striker Erling Haaland if the English club faces relegation over its ongoing financial charges case.

Hainer, speaking to German newspaper BILD on Sunday, said Bayern were satisfied with their current attacking options and had no immediate need to recruit another high-profile forward.

The Bayern president was responding to speculation about Haaland’s future should Manchester City face sporting sanctions arising from the Premier League’s financial allegations.

He pointed to the attacking strength of Bayern’s squad, which includes Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Díaz, as evidence that the club already possesses considerable firepower.

“We have Kane, Olise, Diaz and more. We scored over 120 goals last season. So, I think we are very well equipped in attack,” Hainer said.

His remarks suggested that Bayern were not actively considering a move for the Norwegian international under their present squad arrangements.

However, Hainer stopped short of ruling out the possibility of a future transfer, acknowledging that circumstances could change in the coming years.

“If we’re talking about the future in a few years, then there will be a new situation, and we’ll see,” he added.

Haaland remains one of Europe’s most prominent strikers, and uncertainty surrounding Manchester City’s financial case has continued to generate speculation about the potential implications for the club and its players.

Manchester City have disputed the Premier League’s allegations. Relegation remains a hypothetical outcome rather than an established sanction.

Hainer’s comments indicate that Bayern intend to rely on their existing attacking personnel for now, while leaving longer-term recruitment decisions open to future developments.
