Clerics and religious leaders at the ongoing Akwa Ibom State Prayer Summit have urged residents of the state to support and cooperate with the administration of Governor Umo Eno to ensure effective governance and successful delivery of development projects.
The call was made during Day 2 of the summit held at the International Christian Worship Centre, Uyo, where speakers emphasised obedience, unity, and collective responsibility in governance.
Apostle Zilly Aggrey, Founder and Presiding Apostle of Royal House of Grace International Church, said the state has been divinely guided with a leader committed to service and spiritual values. He likened governance to a relay race, noting that the final leg requires full support to complete the task successfully, and urged citizens to rally behind the governor in achieving his development agenda.

He commended Governor Eno’s development blueprint, the ARISE Agenda, describing it as a structured framework aimed at improving the welfare of citizens and accelerating growth across key sectors.
Similarly, Rev. Dr Godwin Amaowoh, in a sermon titled “Overcoming Obstacles,” compared governance to a football match where success depends on teamwork, discipline, and overcoming challenges. He stressed that leaders require the cooperation of citizens to achieve meaningful results.
He called on residents to embrace obedience and avoid actions that could hinder governance or development efforts in the state.
The summit featured worship sessions, choir ministrations, prayers, and intercessions for peace and progress in the state.

The three-day event, which began on Monday, June 1, 2026, is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
