- Hosts Southern Ibiono Ward 5 Stakeholders meeting

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Matters, Akparawa Idorenyin Raphael has urged stakeholders of southern Ibiono Ward 5 to support President Bola Tinubu, Senator Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno as 2027 political cycle approaches.
Speaking on Tuesday December 9, 2025, during a stakeholders’ meeting with Southern Ibiono Ibom Ward 5, the Governor’s Aide said Ward 5 has a critical role to play in shaping political outcomes in Ibiono Ibom, describing it as the largest and most influential ward in the area.
He commended the Governor for his investments in infrastructure and human development, stressing that continuity in leadership was essential for the gains already recorded.
He noted that with the defection of the Governor, his good relationship with the Senate President, the State has been on the national stage – stressing that, sustaining such political leverage requires loyalty, unity, and support.
Raphael also highlighted the benefits of the President’s recent tax reforms, saying market men and women across the state are beginning to feel relief.
“APC Chairman for Uyo Senatorial District, Obong (Hon.) Godwin Akpan, described the mobilization in Ward 5 as a model for other wards to emulate, commended Raphael for spearheading the engagement and urged political stakeholders to sustain the momentum of securing the party’s victory”.

In their separate remarks, the Youth President of the eleven villages of Ward 5, led by Mr. Ubong Edet, Traditional Leader, Ette Idung Nelson Thomas, JP, Women Leaders represented by Mrs Love David and Obonganwan Francisca Bassey all applauded the SSA for the warm host, promised to support all APC candidates in 2027.
The meeting which brought together party elders, women leaders, youth groups and former elected officials, featured goodwill messages and unanimous declaration of support for APC ahead of 2027 elections.
