The Women Mobilisation Directorate of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council is set to hold a major stakeholders’ summit in Abuja on Monday as the ruling party intensifies preparations for the 2027 presidential election.
The Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Campaign Roll-Out is scheduled for the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, with more than 20,000 women expected from across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is expected to lead the gathering, which organisers say will strengthen the APC’s women mobilisation structure ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

Director of the Women Mobilisation Directorate, Dr Betta Edu, said the party was expanding its grassroots network and targeting 40 million votes from women for President Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 presidential election.
The programme is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m., with delegates expected to converge in Abuja for discussions on political participation, grassroots organisation and women-focused mobilisation.
The summit is themed “Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity,” with the mobilisation message “One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027.”
Edu said the Abuja gathering would complement ongoing community and door-to-door mobilisation by the directorate across the country.
According to her, the campaign structure is seeking to engage women and households at the grassroots as the APC builds support for its presidential ticket.
The directorate has said its mobilisation network covers 176,846 communities nationwide, although its stated target of 40 million women’s votes remains a campaign objective rather than an electoral projection.

The summit is also expected to bring together women leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, political stakeholders, community representatives and grassroots organisers.
Organisers said the gathering would provide a platform to strengthen women’s participation in the party’s campaign structure and discuss programmes the APC intends to highlight as part of President Tinubu’s case for a second term.
The event marks one of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s major women-focused mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
