The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has set a target of at least two million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Adeola made the declaration during the inauguration of the Ogun State executives of the CityBoy Movement and the commissioning of the group’s state secretariat in Abeokuta.
He said the state’s voter population provided the APC with an opportunity to mobilise substantial support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Adeola also cited federal projects and interventions in Ogun State while making the case for continued support for the President.
Among the projects he highlighted were major federal road developments and interventions in the education sector.
The CityBoy Movement, which supports Tinubu and his administration, is building grassroots structures across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Ogun State leadership of the movement said it was expanding its membership and mobilisation activities across the state, with a target of establishing a broad grassroots network before the election.

National Director-General of the CityBoy Movement, Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, urged the newly inaugurated executives to extend the organisation’s activities across Ogun’s 20 local government areas and strengthen its grassroots structure.
The event was attended by government officials, political figures and members of the movement.
Adeola’s two-million-vote target is a political mobilisation goal rather than a projection of the eventual election result. The actual outcome will be determined by voters during the 2027 presidential election.
