Lionel Messi has scored his 100th goal for Inter Miami across all official competitions, becoming the first player in the club’s history to reach the century mark as his side defeated Cruz Azul to win the 2026 Campeones Cup.
The milestone covers Messi’s goals for Inter Miami in MLS and other official competitions, rather than 100 goals in MLS regular-season matches alone.
Messi also reached 100 goals for a single MLS club across all competitions faster than any previous player, according to statistics accompanying the milestone.

The Inter Miami captain has recorded more than 55 assists in 144 appearances across competitions since joining the Florida club in the summer of 2023.
His latest landmark came as Inter Miami secured their first trophy of the 2026 campaign by overcoming Mexican side Cruz Azul in the Campeones Cup.
MESSI EXTENDS INTER MIAMI RECORD
The 100-goal mark further strengthens Messi’s position as Inter Miami’s all-time leading scorer, with his tally comprising goals scored in domestic league play and other official tournaments involving the club.
Since arriving in South Florida, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner has also established himself as Inter Miami’s leading assist provider.
Among his notable MLS achievements was a six-goal-contribution performance against New York Red Bulls in May 2024, when he scored once and supplied five assists in a 6-2 victory.
The five assists set a league record for a single match, while his six total goal contributions also established an MLS single-game mark.
Messi also became the fastest player to reach 25 goal contributions in MLS regular-season play, achieving the mark in 12 appearances.

ANOTHER TROPHY FOR MESSI, MIAMI
The 2026 Campeones Cup adds to the honours Messi has collected with Inter Miami.
He previously captained the club to the 2023 Leagues Cup and helped Miami secure the 2024 Supporters’ Shield, when the team finished the regular season with 74 points.
The latest triumph gives Inter Miami another trophy with Messi at the centre of the club’s most successful period since its formation.
With his 100th Inter Miami goal across all official competitions now secured, Messi and his teammates will turn their attention to the remaining challenges of the 2026 season.
