Nigerian streamer and entertainer Carter Efe has challenged Afrobeats star Wizkid to a boxing match, while claiming that his 2022 hit song, ‘Machala’, played a major role in promoting the singer.
Carter Efe made the remarks during an interview, where he said he would not demand any payment for participating in a bout against Wizkid.
Instead, he suggested that Wizkid could receive $1 million for taking part in the proposed fight, while he would participate without collecting any money.

The streamer also attributed his confidence in defeating Wizkid to what he described as the singer’s alleged marijuana use.
Carter Efe further said the success of ‘Machala’ created a shared connection between him and Wizkid, noting that the song reached the number-one spot and generated significant revenue.
According to him, he expected Wizkid to acknowledge his contribution to the song’s success but became disappointed when he felt the singer failed to do so.
He said the perceived lack of recognition prompted him to stop acknowledging Wizkid as well.
Carter Efe said he was now willing to settle the matter inside the boxing ring, calling on supporters to bring Wizkid for a fight.

According to reports gathered, the comments have added another chapter to the long-running public discussion surrounding Carter Efe’s relationship with Wizkid and the success of ‘Machala’, a song released in 2022 as a tribute to the Afrobeats superstar.
