Turkey-based Golden Global Bank has announced plans to take legal action against a decision by the United States accusing the financial institution of assisting Iran, according to Reuters.
The bank rejected the allegations and said it would challenge the US move through legal channels.

The United States Treasury Department imposed sanctions on Golden Global Yatirim Bankasi Anonim Sirketi and two of its subsidiaries, accusing the institutions of helping Iran conduct financial transactions linked to sanctioned activities.

US authorities alleged that the bank played a role in facilitating oil-related financial dealings involving Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force and foreign buyers.
Golden Global Bank denied the accusations, saying it operates in line with international banking regulations and rejected claims that it supported activities violating US sanctions.
The sanctions place the bank on the US Specially Designated Nationals list, restricting its access to the US financial system and targeting its ability to conduct transactions involving American financial institutions.

The latest action is part of Washington’s broader campaign to increase economic pressure on Iran and restrict financial networks that it says help Tehran bypass international sanctions.
Golden Global Bank said it would pursue legal measures to challenge the decision and defend its operations.
