Manchester City are reportedly monitoring Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández as uncertainty continues to surround the Argentine’s future at Stamford Bridge.
Fernández was absent from Chelsea’s Premier League victory over Brighton on Sunday, adding further speculation over his situation at the club amid reports linking him with a potential big-money move to Manchester City.

City manager Enzo Maresca, who previously worked with the midfielder at Chelsea, is said to be interested in strengthening his squad following the departures of key midfield players including Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Nico González and Tijjani Reijnders during the summer transfer window.
The England champions are assessing options to reinforce their midfield department, with Fernández emerging as a possible target due to his technical ability and experience at both club and international level.

Chelsea have not indicated any decision regarding Fernández’s future, while the player remains under contract as discussions continue over his next move.
The midfielder joined Chelsea from Benfica in a record transfer deal in January 2023 and has since become an important figure for both club and country.
