President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said interfaith dialogue remains the most effective approach to addressing insecurity and promoting peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.

The President remarked on Saturday in Abuja while receiving the Vatican’s Secretary for Relations with States and International Organisations of the Holy See, Archbishop Paul R. Gallagher.

Tinubu said his administration would continue to collaborate with religious leaders to strengthen peace, harmony and tolerance across the country.

He urged Christian and Muslim leaders to sustain their efforts in preaching peace, stressing that Nigeria can never have too much peace and tolerance.

According to the President, religious leaders have continued to play a vital role in promoting unity, and their contributions remain essential to national stability.

Speaking on security, Tinubu said the military has recorded significant successes against criminal groups across the country.

He added that the Federal Government is investing more resources in surveillance and security operations, particularly in previously ungoverned areas, to improve national security.

The President also disclosed that his administration is making strategic investments in young people to reduce their vulnerability to recruitment by terrorist and criminal groups, as part of broader efforts to address the root causes of insecurity.
