The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for the second time in four days.
A market survey in Abuja showed that NNPCL retail outlets at Airport Junction and Wuse Zone 6 have reduced the petrol price from ₦1,260 to ₦1,210 per litre, representing a ₦50 per litre reduction.
The latest adjustment comes two days after Dangote Refinery cut its ex-depot petrol price by ₦50 to ₦1,125 per litre.
Earlier this week, NNPCL had also reduced its pump price by ₦75 per litre, bringing it to ₦1,260 before the latest review.

Petrol prices in Abuja and surrounding areas now range between ₦1,210 and ₦1,305 per litre, depending on the retail outlet.
The price reductions come amid a decline in global crude oil prices, with Brent crude trading around $71 per barrel and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) at about $69 per barrel, following easing tensions in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has yet to comment on calls by Nigerians for further reductions in domestic fuel prices in line with the drop in global crude oil prices.
