Troops of the Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, under Operation DESERT SANITY, have rescued additional kidnapped victims, eliminated suspected terrorists and arrested alleged collaborators during operations across parts of Borno State and neighbouring areas.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Media Information Officer of Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba.

According to the statement, troops acting on credible intelligence carried out a clearance operation along the Mandara Mountains axis, targeting a suspected terrorist crossing point between Amuda and Gava communities.
During the operation, six abducted women and children, identified as residents of the Ngoshe community, were rescued from Boko Haram/ISWAP captivity.
The military said the latest rescue brings the total number of women and children freed following the March 3, 2026 attack on the Ngoshe community to 60.
The statement added that troops also neutralised terrorists and apprehended suspected collaborators during separate operations in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State and parts of Yobe State.
In one of the operations conducted at Bazamri village in Konduga LGA, troops reportedly killed two Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters.

Operation HADIN KAI said ongoing offensives against terrorist elements across the North-East remain focused on dismantling insurgent networks, rescuing abducted civilians and restoring security in affected communities.
