The Zonal Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Zone 8, ACGN Anietie Inam Jack, recently paid a working visit to the Ogun State Command Headquarters in Abeokuta, reaffirming the Agency’s commitment to operational efficiency, personnel welfare, and professionalism in the fight against drug-related crimes.
This was contained in a statement issued by ASN Orisadare Yusuf A, Assistant Public Relations Officer, NDLEA Ogun State Command, on behalf of the State Commander.
Mrs Jack, who arrived at the Command headquarters, inspected the Quarter Guard before proceeding to a strategic meeting with principal officers of the Command. Discussions during the session centred on administrative issues, operational strategies, and the welfare of officers and personnel.
Addressing officers and men of the Command during a general meeting, the Zonal Commander expressed satisfaction with the discipline, conduct, and dedication displayed by personnel of the Ogun State Command. She urged officers to remain professional in the discharge of their duties and to prepare themselves for greater responsibilities within the Agency.
She further stressed the importance of maintaining the integrity and image of the NDLEA, noting that professionalism and commitment remain critical in tackling drug abuse and illicit trafficking across the country.
Mrs Jack also highlighted the need for officers to prioritise their health and wellbeing, describing good health as essential for effective service delivery and operational performance.
During the visit, the Ogun State Commander, CN Tijjani Rabe, briefed the Zonal Commander on the Command’s operational achievements, including significant arrests, seizures, prosecutions, and other enforcement successes recorded in recent months.
The working visit, according to the Agency, forms part of ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness, improving personnel welfare, and reinforcing professionalism within the NDLEA.
